*Narita agrees with IATAto reduce airport charges by about 11%
Narita International Airport Co. (NAA) announced on September 16 to have agreed with International Air Transport Association (IATA) to introduce a new airport charge system for Narita Airport on October 1 this year. The agreement will be effective by the end of FY2008 (March 31 2007). Out of airport charges, landing charges will be based onnoise levels of each landing aircraft, which are classified into six categories from A to F. According to the rule, the lowest landingcharge will be 1,650 yen per ton, and the highest one will be 2,100yen per ton.
