CAB requests 100 billion yen more budget for FY2006
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Civil Aviation Bureau (CAB) announced on August 29 that it has requested a total of 598.3 billion yen for airport development special account in FY2006 starting April 1 2006. The total amount is about 100 billion yen more the FY2005 budget of 495.6 billion yen mainly because CAB has requested large increase of budget for the Haneda re-expansion program. Also, CAB will pay more attention to aviation and airport security (countermeasures against terrorism or hijacking) for FY2006, for whichit has requested 5.4 billion yen more budget than the FY2005 budget.
