*JAL is reprimanded for a series of incidents with "operation correction order"

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport issued "operation correction order" to JAL International and a warning to each Holding Company JAL and JAL Japan over a series of incidents on March 17 this year. It is quite unusual for the authority to issue both issued "operation correction order" and a warning to several airlines of one Group at the same time. "Operation correction order" is one of the most serious administrative punishments on the Aviation Law, following "operation suspension."JAL also accepted "operation correction order" against the inappropriate maintenance of emergency escape slides six years ago.
