FY2005 budgetary request for aircraft developments by METI is up 36%
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has included 12,387 million yen for aircraft developments in the budgetary request for FY2005 starting April 1 2005, largely increasing from 9,119 million yen for FY2004 budget. The Ministry has particularly increased the budgetary request for R&D of environmentally compatible high performance small aircraft, which is defined as one of the Focus 21 Projects, to 5,000 million yen from the FY2004 budget of 2,700 million yen.
