*Hawaii is evolving to a selected destination by high-end travelers
Frank Haas, Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) Vice President Tourism Marketing,emphasized at a news conference in Tokyo on January 26 that HTA, together with Hawaii Tourism Japan (HTJ), would continue appealing "evolving Hawaii" to the travel industry of Japan, when hevisited Japan to join the tourism seminar hosted by HTJ. He said, "Hawaii is still the most popular destination in the Japanese market. It is true that price is getting higher, however Hawaii is atourist destination worth the price."
